Die 8-kanalige Mikrofonweiche 8ox des kanadischen Herstellers Radial Engineering wurde speziell für den Einsatz von Mehrkanal-Mitschnitten bei Live-Applikationen oder für die aufwendige Distribution von Mikrofonsignalen konzipiert. Das Gerät verfügt über acht Mikrofon-Eingänge. Jedes Eingangssignal wird intern auf drei Ausgänge geroutet: neben einem 8-kanaligen Ausgang für die Direktspeisung eines FoH-Pultes steht jeweils ein Übertrager-isolierter Ausgang für die Aufnahme sowie ein weiterer AUX-Weg beispielsweise für die Speisung von Monitorwegen zur Verfügung. Um eine noch größere Flexibilität zu gewährleisten, kann in jedem Kanal eine 30 dB Eingangsdämpfung zugeschaltet werden, um so den Anschluss von hoch pegeligen Eingangssignalen zu ermöglichen. Dadurch erweitert sich der Anwendungsbereich der 8ox erheblich. This is most often done when recording vocals. This improves the sonic character of the track and provides the vocalist with a more comfortable sound, which in turn allows for a better performance. Four front panel 'radio style' selector switches select the active preamp while automatically disconnecting the mic from the others. Completely passive and 100% discrete, the Cherry Picker features a 'straight wire' signal path. There is no active circuitry whatsoever in between the mic signal and the preamp. The audio signal switching is performed by a series of military-grade gold contact sealed relays for zero coloration and distortion to ensure a fair and honest comparison between preamps. The rear panel is equipped with a balanced XLR input for the microphone and four balanced XLR outputs to feed the various preamps. When using a studio condenser, the Cherry Picker internally generates 48V phantom power so that switching between preamps will not disrupt the phantom power going to the microphone. The Radial H-Amp is a unique interface that allows you to connect multiple headphones to a power amplifier or in-line with a loudspeaker such as a wedge monitor or PA cabinet. In other words, you simply connect the output from the amp or the parallel through connection from the loudspeaker and the H-Amp converts the signal to safely supply your headphones.Designed to accommodate two musicians at the same time, the H-Amp is equipped with two headphone outs - each with individual level control. Die Firma Radial Engineering kündigt ihr neuestes Produkt an: die Radial JX44 Air Control. Dabei handelt es sich um ein 1-HE-Rackgerät, das dem Bühnengitarristen die schnelle und einfache Kontrolle über Gitarren, Effektpedale und Verstärker ermöglicht. Die JX44 verfügt über eine große Anzahl nützlicher Ausstattungsmerkmale und garantiert höchste Signalqualität im gesamten Übertragungsweg. Alle vier Eingangskanäle können Signale von drahtlosen Übertragungsanlagen, sowie von elektrischen und akustischen Gitarren oder Bässen verarbeiten. Mittels der vier Ausgangskanäle können bis zu vier unabhängige Verstärker gespeist und kombiniert werden, ohne, dass sich dabei die für die Ansteuerung mehrerer Verstärker typischen Probleme ergeben. Genau wie die Radial JD7 Injector verfügt auch die JX44 über einen vollständig diskret ausgeführten Class-A-Schaltungsaufbau, eine Übertragerisolation, und eine Drag-Regelmöglichkeit, mit der der natürliche Klang des Instruments bewahrt werden kann. Eingänge Üblicherweise wird das Gerät durch Gitarreneingänge auf der Rückseite mit Signalen versorgt, zur Erhöhung der Flexibilität sind aber auch Eingangs-Schaltbuchsen auf der Vorderseite angebracht, die parallel zu den rückseitigen Eingängen geschaltet sind. Bei Anschluss eines Steckers auf der Vorderseite wird das Signal so mit dem jeweiligen Eingang verbunden. DI-Box und Re-Amping: Zu den praktischen und herausragenden Merkmalen gehören eine integrierte, übertragerisolierte Radial-DI-Box sowie eine vollständige Re-Amping-Funktionalität. Die DI-Box ermöglicht die direkte Aufnahme eines 'Clean'-Signals, was eine spätere Abmischung deutlich erleichtern kann, da ein unverzerrtes Signal in der Post-Production-Phase eine einfachere Nachbearbeitung, wie z.B. den Austausch oder nachträgliches 'Sliden' von Noten, erlaubt. Bei Verwendung einer akustischen Gitarre kann einer der Eingänge direkt und exklusiv mit der DI-Box verbunden werden, um den entsprechenden Kanalzug des Mischpults direkt zu speisen. Neben der 180°-Phasendrehung und der schaltbaren Massetrennung sind Effektwege mit Pre- und Post-Abgriffen vorhanden. Eine vollständige Schnittstelle für Re-Amping-Aufnahmen ermöglicht es dem Künstler oder Tontechniker, Spuren nachträglich auszutauschen oder ihren Klang anzureichern. Effektwege Die JX44 verfügt über zwei Effektschleifen, von denen die erste gepufferte Send- und Return-Anschlüsse für Gitarrenpegel an 6,3 mm-Buchsen zur Verfügung stellt, die lokal mit Multieffektgeräten oder externen Effektsammlungen verbunden werden können.
