Four selectable inputs with trim adjusts Straight wire distortion-free signal path Will not introduce color or artifact Increases artist's confidence when recording The Gold Digger is a 4-channel mic selector that enables the engineer to quickly compare the sound of four different microphones while sharing the same preamp. A 'straight wire' passive circuit design is void of any audio buffers or transformers. Instead, the Gold Digger employs military grade gold contact relays to manage the switching process, thus ensuring the pristine mic signal is maintained without introducing color, distortion or artefact of any kind. Features include four rear-mounted XLR-F mic inputs plus an XLR-m output to feed the preamp. To eliminate bleed between microphones, each channel is equipped with a 'radio style' selector switch that ensures only one mic is on at a time. The external supply provides power for the LED indicators, charges the relays and enables the Gold Digger to generate 48 volt phantom which can be turned on or off for each mic as needed. To ensure an 'honest' comparison between microphones, individual 'set & forget' trim controls let you adjust each mic level so that they produce the same relative output. Once set up, the Gold Digger not only improves workflow, but also gives the artist more confidence with the sound of the vocal, resulting in a better overall performance. The Gold Digger – A tool designed to get the very best out of each and every performance.
From the father of the recording console comes the 5060 Centerpiece: the Class-A analog heart of your 21st-century studio. Sized for your desktop, the 5060 delivers the tonality and center section features of Rupert’s flagship 5088 console at your fingertips, cementing outboard together with serious custom transformers, flexible monitoring, DAW transport controls, and the raw power of a Rupert Neve-designed 24×2 mix-buss. Define Your Workflow With a modular, hybrid analogue/digital mix system built around the 5060, you can outfit your studio with exactly what you need – and nothing that you don’t. Utilizing modern DAW control technologies, the 5060 seamlessly integrates stem outputs from the DAW with the rest of your control room, sums the final mix, and provides 2-track outputs, source selection, and speaker feed outputs from the monitor section. Used in conjunction with 5059 mixers and Portico modules, the 5060 forms the core of a scalable analogue system. In this arrangement, the 5059s provide individual channel control, aux routing, and expandable channel counts, the Portico modules provide preamplification, EQ and dynamics, and the 5060 unites it all. The 5060 brings your dreams of a seamless hybrid workflow to reality. Define Your Tone With custom transformers, a class-A mix buss and variable Silk, the 5060 can provide a wide range of tonal flavors. Drive the mix buss hard and crank the Texture knob for a rich, saturated, vintage vibe – or disengage Silk entirely for clear, wide-open sonic beauty. Silk reduces the negative feedback on the output transformer, adding harmonic content as the texture is increased. Silk red mode accentuates the saturation in the high-mids and highs, while silk blue mode features more saturation in the lows and low mids. With Silk engaged, the distortion characteristic and harmonic content of the unit are very reminiscent of many of Rupert’s class-A vintage designs. These controls add an unparalleled range of tonal options to the 5060 and should be explored creatively with a variety of different sources for best effect. Additionally, by using 5059 Satellite Mixers to feed the 5060, you can further control the tone by using different Silk & Texture settings on the dual stereo outputs, and by creating parallel processing on the stems using the insert sends into processors, and then into stereo inputs 9-24. The New Analogue Standard While digital technologies come and go, the modular, class-A analog designs Rupert created decades ago have been proven to stand the test of time. Instead of merely cloning these “classics”, Rupert has spent recent years leading a team of engineers in crafting new designs, built on the same key principals, that take sonic performance, flexibility and ergonomics to new heights. These designs embody the high voltage, class-A, discrete and transformer coupled architectures found in the 5088 console, which represent a culmination of Rupert’s vast analogue circuitry knowledge. With the 5060 Centerpiece, the primary aim is to deliver the extraordinary quality of the 5088 in a compact, modular framework. With an abundance of interconnectivity, exceptional fidelity, and the tonal versatility of Silk, the 5060 is the ideal core of the sound-conscious modern studio.
The via Fader is a brand new way to connect your 500 series racks and audio gear. This product is more than just 10 or 16 slide faders. Each fader channel has the necessary input and output electronics to allow the via Fader to interface to any balanced, unbalanced, transformer, or transformer-less line level signal. But most importantly... no additional mixer or audio interface is required. With its clean, uncluttered layout, the via Fader can be placed in a convenient desktop location or installed in your 19" rack. This gives you more choices when it comes to the studio layout. Not exclusively for 500 rack systems, the via Fader can be used for external DAW summing or as a line mixer for synths and samplers. In many cases, the via Fader can eliminate the need for a mixing console in your studio. The four via Fader models give you lots of possibilities. Model VF10 Connector Panel All audio connections are located on the bottom/rear of the via Fader chassis. For economy, the rear panel connector legend shows all four models with the connector legend for the Model VF10 shown at the very top.Connect the via Fader to virtually any line level source: balanced, unbalanced, transformer, or transformer-less. The VF10 line inputs and outputs are fully balanced and terminate on DB25 connectors that comply with the Tascam wiring standard. The via Fader has high headroom that will handle balanced signals up to +28dBu.As an added convenience, on the Model VF10 line inputs and outputs 9 and 10 may be accessed with the balanced TRS jacks instead of the DB25 connectors. Included on the bottom panel (not shown on this image) are jumpers that allow you to add 10dB of additional gain to each fader channel.

What is the XTRAMIX X6 Mixer? The X6 is a rack mounted analog line mixer that offers features and flexibility for use in the most serious recording applications. It has been designed as a "quiet-transparent" platform that allows you to build a mixing system using the gear you already own. The X6 can be used to connect all your analog outboard gear regardless of the pedigree, interface to AD/DA converters, and, of course, virtually any synth or sampler. It is a fact that not all studios need a console style mixer with slide faders, so the X6 can often replace a studio desk style console and may be a good fit especially if space is at a premium. Features · 4 rack space design · 20 stereo line inputs + stereo mix + 8 group busses. · Each input channel has pannable stereo direct out. · 4 aux send busses. · 0db/12db Gain select on each input channel. · Presence of signal LED on inputs. · In-place solo on all channels. · True stereo aux sends. · 4 stereo aux returns. · Balanced inserts with bypass switch on stereo mix and 8 groups. · Two monitor outputs and independent headphone output. · Expander connectors to add another X6, X.Sum, or other line mixer. · Multi-purpose mounting brackets: 19" rack mount or configured for desktop location. The In's & Out's Connect the X6 to any line level source: balanced, unbalanced, transformer, or transformer-less. The X6 has high headroom that will handle balanced signals up to +28dBu. All audio inputs and outputs are fully balanced and available on TRS connectors. The Designer The X6 is the work of Vince Poulos, the designer and owner of Speck Electronics. Speck Electronics has been producing quality professional audio products for over 45 years. Founded in 1973, Speck Electronics has consistently provided innovations in audio products for all segments of professional recording and touring. Other products include the X.Sum rack mixer, the via Fader outboard fader system, the EQF 810 equalizer, and MicPre 5.0 preamp.
