The Earthworks SR314 is designed from the ground up to meet both the expectations and desires of a modern live performance environment. Stainless steel is expertly sculpted through precision machining yielding an instrument that is beautiful to look at, balanced in the hand, and sensibly engineered for life on the road. Protected within its steel exoskeleton is a studio quality small diaphragm cardioid condenser capsule coupled with a Class A amplifier circuit that leverages Earthworks patented and proprietary technologies to deliver one of the fastest mics on the planet. An extended flat frequency response and a focus on time coherence (fast clean impulse response) sets the Earthworks SR314 apart. By systematically eliminating the many layers of distortion and noise normally added by each acoustic and electronic component, the Earthworks SR314 doesn’t sound like a traditional microphone – it pulls back the veil to reveal the true voice of the artist. The SR314 democratizes exceptional live music experiences, making them accessible to everyone. Quicker soundchecks and better monitor and in-ear mixes let artists focus on what matters most – the music. Engineers are unencumbered from the necessities of corrective EQ, heavy compression, de-essing and constant vigilance against feedback. Audiences reap the benefits of vocals that sit comfortably and easily in the mix, with every detail and nuance bridging the gap that so often separates the audio experience of live music from recordings. Features: Flat frequency response to 30kHz Handles up to 145dB SPL More gain before feedback than other microphones Tight cardioid polar pattern with a consistent frequency response all the way out to 90 degrees means the SR314 delivers the same quality of sound even when the singer moves off-center Extreme attenuation of sound sources located beyond 90 degrees with maximum rejection at 180 degrees Consistent low frequency response across a wide range of distances, providing articulate detailed bass up close while not getting thin with distance

The Neumann KMS 104 BLACK Condenser Vocal Microphone. Highly regarded live vocal condenser microphone. The Neumann KMS 104 BLACK is the microphone of choice for demanding live applications. The KMS 104 has a microphone capsule with a cardioid directional characteristic which provides the best possible suppression of sounds originating from behind the microphone. The high acoustic resolution and smooth frequency response of the microphone ensures that the musician has optimal control of the stage performance at all times. The studio condenser capsule used in the KMS104 provides the basis for transmitting all the nuances of the human voice. In comparison with other handheld microphones, which operate mostly with dynamic capsules, the KMS series has a particularly high acoustic transparency, a wide frequency range and a fine resolution of transients. A carefully adjusted acoustic filter and transformerless impedance converter that can handle very high sound pressure levels, prevent the microphone from being overloaded even by strong plosive sounds. The filters thus ensure a very high level of feedback protection for the KMS 104 bk vocalist microphone when it is used with a stage sound system. Special electronic compensation is used for the proximity effect and there is also an invariable, built-in high-pass filter with a cutoff frequency of 120 Hz (–3 dB, measured in a free sound field). The dynamic range of the KMS 104 is 132 dB, and the maximum sound pressure level is 150 dB. The low self-noise level of only 18 dB-A permits the KMS104 to be used at high gain levels without the risk of additional noise. Even at large distances, it can operate with a high signal-to-noise ratio, facilitating the freedom of movement and creativity that are important to the artist. Due to the transformerless output circuit, the microphone signals can be transmitted even through long cables without loss of sound. The KMS 104 bk microphone was designed for use on stage so it has a particularly robust construction with thick-walled metal housings, which also provide effective protection against handling noise. The microphone headgrilles are made of hardened steel. If required, they can easily be unscrewed to permit cleaning of the interior acoustic filters. The KMS 104 microphone with a matching stand clamp, is supplied in an attractive padded nylon bag that is sufficiently durable for touring. The main features of the Neumann KMS 104 BLACK include:Highly regarded live vocal condenser microphoneNeumann sound on stageExcellent transparency for vocals/speechCardioid polar pattern with excellent feedback rejectionWithout off-axis colourationTransformerless outputEffective pop shielding without any side effectsSet includes: KMS 104 bk Microphone, SG 105 Stand clamp, Padded nylon bagAcoustical operating principle: Pressure gradient transducerDirectional pattern: CardioidFrequency range: 20 Hz ... 20 kHzSensitivity at 1 kHz into 1 kohm: 4.5 mV/PaRated impedance: 50 ohmsRated load impedance: 1 kohmsEquivalent noise level, CCIR: 28 dBEquivalent noise level, A-weighted: 18 dB-ASignal-to-noise ratio, CCIR (rel. 94 dB SPL): 66 dBSignal-to-noise ratio, A-weighted (rel. 94 dB SPL): 76 dBMaximum SPL for THD 0.5%: 150 dBMaximum output voltage: 12 dBuDyn. range of the mic. amplifier (A-weighted): 132 dBSupply voltage (P48, IEC 1938): 48 V ± 4 VCurrent consumption (P48, IEC 1938): 3.5 mAMatching connector: XLR3FWeight approx. : 300 gDiameter: 48 mmLength: 180 mm For more information, please visit this products webpage
